McDougall Communications Expands Team with Two New Hires
ROCHESTER, N.Y., October 3rd, 2016- McDougall Communications is pleased to announce the addition of two new team members to the Rochester office. Will Memmott was taken on as a fulltime senior counselor in August 2016, and, more recently, Vanessa Pearce joined the firm as an account coordinator.
As senior counselor, Memmott leads both local and national clients in their communications and public relations strategies, with a specialization in internal communications. Meanwhile, Pearce will provide day-to-day support with public relations campaigns and initiatives, particularly in the areas of social and digital media.
Memmott brings to the team years of experience in the communications field. Prior to joining McDougall Communications, he spent nearly a decade at Pernod Ricard USA, one of the leading premium spirits and wine companies in the country. He was responsible for developing and executing programs to connect employees in multiple office locations with the company’s values, goals and business objectives. He led numerous strategic projects for the company, including the development and ongoing strategy for the company intranet and employee social network. Previously, he held a similar role for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages (now the Dr Pepper Snapple Group). In that position, Memmott managed internal communications, including during the integration of the company’s three beverage units – Mott’s, Snapple and Dr Pepper/Seven Up – into a single operating entity. He holds a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Journalism, both from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
Pearce graduated in May 2015 from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a Bachelor’s in Public Relations. Throughout her undergraduate years, she was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and Hill Communications, a student-run public relations firm affiliated with PRSSA, and acted as advertising director for Zipped Magazine, an on-campus publication. Pearce completed a competitive internship program at MCI Group, a leading events-management firm based in Geneva, Switzerland, and got her start in Rochester working in digital marketing.
McDougall Communications offers strategic public relations, crisis management and reputation management counsel, internal communications development and social media management to a range of organizations from start-ups to some of the world’s best-known national and global brands.
