Grow, Build & Discover: Reawakening Employee Communications at CooperVision
CooperVision – the world’s third largest manufacturer of soft contact lenses headquartered in Pleasanton, Calif. – had historically enjoyed a culture marked by congenial relationships among its employees around the globe. Yet its employee communications efforts were splintered, run independently, and at different levels among the company’s various sites around the globe.
Working with McDougall Communications, the company developed and implemented a new, centrally-coordinated strategy to more deeply engage the employee population – a program made all the more important when CooperVision acquired a European competitor in mid-2014, bringing with it nearly 1,000 new team members.
With a new strategy in place, as well as a suite of tools that encourage communication by the executive team, site and functional leaders, and front-line managers, the company is enjoying more frequent and effective outreach to employees, and the resulting performance benefits, as it grows its global market share at twice the industry average.
