Jill E. Wight, Channel Strategy Consultant
“Diverse and interesting is how you might describe me,” says Jill Wight, retail marketing consultant. She began her storied career in sales, quickly ascending the ranks to sales management with her keen sense of customers' desires and needs – sometimes, before they even knew how to articulate them. Jill’s curious nature led her next to the corporate world, first at Xerox Corporation, where she served as a direct and indirect channel sales manager, then branched out to senior marketing in product, services, and channel management. She earned several Presidents Club awards and four excellence in sales awards.
She then moved on to Eastman Kodak Company, working her way up through the marketing department as a senior channel marketing manager, senior marketing manager, and a senior product manager. Jill developed new channel marketing relationships in B2B and B2C environments, and created new category innovations for Kodak digital accessories and Kodak Picture Kiosks, expanding revenues in excess of $10 million.
After over 20 years in the corporate world, Jill decided to indulge her entrepreneurial spirit, and in 2011, she launched her own company, Jill-e Designs, LLC, offering quality, beautiful photography cases for professional photographers. The Jill-e Designs brand took off, and is now sold in global retail locations such as Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Adorama, and B&H.
On the heels of Jill-e Designs’s success, Jill was tapped to be a consultant to global consumer electronics brands Nikon, Canon, and Samsung, and she won the Small Business of the Year Award from Five Star Bank.
Jill has since sold Jill-e Designs’s product line and retained the consulting aspect of her business as jillebeans, LLC, lending her deep industry knowledge, experience, and talents to McDougall Communications to coach other companies to achieve similar global brand and retail success.
Jill holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from The Ohio State University. She lives in Cleveland with her husband, Bryan, and their cats, Bonnie and Clyde.
