ROCHESTER, N.Y. June14, 2019 — Public relations programs for multiple clients led by McDougall Communications have received awards from two prominent regional industry associations, recognizing their unique strategies, creative approaches and measurable outcomes.
The firm swept Best of Show honors at last night’s 2019 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) PRism Awards dinner. Educate & Elevate: CooperVision’s 1 Day Silicone Hydrogel Campaign was recognized as the best corporate program of the year, while The Eyes Have It: CORE Dominates ARVO ’18 received top billing among non-profits.
McDougall team members were called on to receive 11 additional honors:
Two of the programs also garnered praise at the 2019 American Marketing Association Pinnacle Awards, held in mid-May:
“Although these programs span multiple clients, industries and categories, they share a common element that underpins their success,” said Mike McDougall, APR, Fellow PRSA, the agency’s president. “It’s the people behind the work—enthusiastic and highly-collaborative clients, creative and adaptive partners, and our team of PR pros who love what they do. We couldn’t ask for a better combination. Congratulations to every one of them, and all PRism and Pinnacles winners this year.”
Contact lens manufacturer CooperVision’s Best of Show-winning program brought together data and insights from eye care professionals and consumers in the United States, Europe and Asia surrounding 1 day silicone hydrogel contact lenses. The efforts placed a spotlight on misperceptions and opportunities for better patient experiences through media outreach, publication of a custom report, and professional education events.
The Centre for Ocular Research and Education (CORE) is the preeminent center for advanced biosciences, clinical research and education relating to the eye. Its Best of Show-winning program focused on the organization’s presence at ARVO 2018, a global ophthalmic research conference. The centerpiece was an addictive tablet-based quiz that served up more than 14,600 eye science questions to optometry and ophthalmology attendees, resulting in record booth interactions and approximately 1,100 games played on site.
McDougall Communications (mcdougallpr.com), founded in 2011, is focused on helping clients across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific meet their business objectives through a range of communications services, including strategic planning, media and influencer relations, reputation and crisis counsel, and social media management.
